The purpose of this training is to increase counselors’ ability to structure chemical dependence (CD) group counseling sessions in a way that increases efficiency and effectiveness, while maintaining their proper focus. Seminar participants will also increase their understanding of the counselor’s role when facilitating a CD group and learn specific strategies to aid clients in processing and coping with uncomfortable emotions.
